Stay and Learn

At Woodlands we are really excited to be bringing back our Stay and Play sessions in (EYFS) and the Stay and Learn sessions in KS1 & KS2.

These have been really popular in the past and are a lovely opportunity for parents/carers to come into school and spend some time doing activities with their children.  We would welcome all parents and carers to these sessions as it gives us more opportunities to develop and build on our relationships as well as a chance for you to get to know what your children are doing in school.

NURSERY

Nursery stay and play sessions are designed for parents/carers to come in to a fantastic nursery setting and spend time playing with your child with the activities that have been set out by our teachers.

These sessions are usually an hour and go from 10:45-11:45am

The first session is Tuesday 16th October 2025 

These sessions are half termly so please check Weduc or speak to the class teacher  for more information.

RECEPTION

Reception stay and play sessions are WEEKLY opportunities for you to come into school, see what excellent provision the children have and engage with your children in a variety of free-flow activities. You are also able to view your children’s profiles and look at the progress they are making.

These sessions are every FRIDAY from 8:50-9:05

KS1 and KS2

KS1 & KS2 both have half termly Stay and Learn sessions- each year group will have fun activities that you can complete with your child during this time as well as look through books and spend quality time with your child.

For some of the stay and learn sessions, parents may have a presentation in the hall first and then go to classes after.
